Henry completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at the Australian Catholic University in 2017 and has completed his Sports Level 2 course with the APA. He is currently a member of the NSW Athletics physiotherapy team and is the medical coordinator for ANSW events. Henry also works with the Carlile swimming squads, managing athletes on pool deck and assisting with injury prevention and management throughout the season.
Through Sydney Sports Medicine, Henry worked as the physiotherapy provider for the NSWIS Para-Archery and Water Polo Talent programs. Over the past years, he has worked across a number of sports and organisations. He has worked with Sydney University Water Polo Club, The Greater Sydney Rams NRC Rugby Union team, NSW Rugby 7's, Netball NSW, Football NSW and Sydney University NEAFL Club. He also has experience with on-field sports coverage with Basketball, Gymnastics, Diving, Cross-Country and Field hockey.
Henry previously competed at a national level in middle distance running and also enjoyed playing Rugby Union at a representative level throughout school. He now enjoys running and swimming socially to stay fit and to ensure that he practices what he preaches.
Henry has a keen interest in acute sporting injuries, bio-mechanical analysis and working with athletes to help them achieve their athletic goals, whatever they may be. To achieve this, his treatment incorporates massage, trigger point therapy, dry needling, corrections to poor movement patterns and exercise prescription. Henry is a strong believer that providing his patients with education on how their body works is one of the most important part of recovery from injury. From there it is all about getting stronger, more controlled and moving better.
