Arthrosamid is an innovative and novel type of injection treatment used to treat knee arthritis. Arthrosamid acts within the knee to help cushion the joint, reduce pain and decrease stiffness to improve knee function.
It integrates with the knee joint lining (synovium) to improve lubrication and protect the joint.
Arthrosamid is a non-biodegradable hydrogel injection consisting of 97.5% water with a 2.5% cross-linked polyacrylamide backbone and has been used for a variety of medical indications over the last 20 years.
Currently Arthrosamid® is only available in Australia via application to Canberra (TGA). Dr Ibrahim and his team can help arrange this.
