Otis Adlington

BPhysio (ACU)

Otis Adlington is a Sydney-based physiotherapist at Sydney Sports Medicine Centre, with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Australian Catholic University, a Diploma in Football Medicine, and certification in Dry Needling. Having competed as a semi-professional footballer, he brings a genuine understanding of what athletes go through when they're injured.

His clinical interests centre on lower limb rehabilitation and return to sport programming, with a focus on muscle injuries, tendinopathy, and bone stress injuries. Otis uses VALD force plate technology to objectively track strength, monitor asymmetries, and take the guesswork out of loading and return-to-sport decisions. He has a particular interest in end-stage rehabilitation bridging the gap from earlier stage lower load exercises to the demands that sport places on athletes. Otis also has a solid foundation in manual therapy techniques to assist both athletes and the everyday individual.

Otis has worked across football and rugby at a range of levels, currently serving as Head of Physiotherapy at NWS Spirit FC in the NPL1 Men's competition, and previously as Team Physiotherapist for Football Queensland at the Emerging Socceroos National Championship, within the Western Sydney Wanderers senior academy and A-League 20s program, and with Western Sydney Two Blues Rugby Club. These roles have given him a solid understanding of the environments and pressures that competitive athletes operate in.
