Dr Desmond Bokor - Shoulder and Elbow

Dr Bokor graduated from Monash University in Melbourne with Honours and completed his Orthopaedic Training in Sydney on the Australian Orthopaedic Association Training Programme. Following this he completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine/Knee Surgery in Sydney and then spent time at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, as a Fellow training in Shoulder Surgery.
As well as practicing in the Sydney Sports Medicine Centre, he also has offices in Wahroonga and Parramatta. Dr Bokor’s hospital appointments are at the Hills Private in Baulkham Hills, the Mater Misericordiae Private Hospital in Crows Nest and the Sydney Adventist Hospital (San) in Wahroonga.
He is a founding member of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia and has held the positions of both Secretary and President. He is also a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society, the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Medical Association and Sports Medicine Australia.
He is the Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at the Australian School of Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University, Sydney NSW and the new Macquarie University Private Hospital.
Dr Bokor has published numerous research papers and been involved with writing a number of book chapters on a variety of topics in sports medicine and shoulder problems. He has lectured extensively both in Australia and overseas.
