Sydney Sports Medicine Centre is one of the largest multi-disciplinary Sports Medicine practices in Australia. Located in the NSW Institute of Sport building, we encompass all aspects of Sports Medicine including Sports Physicians, Sports Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Orthopaedic Consultants, Massage Therapists, Dieticians, Exercise Physiologists and Sports Psychologists. Most of our practitioners are involved with professional or National Sporting, Commonwealth and Olympic Games Teams.

Sydney Sports Medicine Centre has been awarded accreditation by Quality in Practice (QIP) as a diagnostic imaging service, recognising the quality and safety of our service.
QIP Chair, Gary Smith, said achieving accreditation demonstrates that the service makes a significant investment on a day-to-day basis from the top down. “Accreditation is a major achievement and is a clear demonstration that SSMC is constantly striving to improve their level of service to their clients and the community,” he said.
THE QIP Accreditation framework is based on national standards that are set by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. To achieve this endorsement, SSMC has demonstrated that we meet all standards set by the Department.
All Sports Physicians at SSMC are highly skilled in the administration of cortisone injections under ultrasound guidance and have been practicing this with great success over many years. The QIP Accreditation recognises this experience and we are proud to display the QIP logo at our practice.
